A unique gown designed to make a statement! The Chaaya Maxi dress has been lovingly hand block printed by artisans in Jaipur, India. Featuring a deep V neckline and tiered skirt evoking the most elegant of feelings.

The Chaaya in Eggplant has been printed using a traditional Indian Buti flower print. Buti means single flower, pictured here amongst a beautiful deep aubergine coloured background.

Material ~ 100% Cotton. Depending on each individual, some find the material sheer. A slip may be worn underneath if desired.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Lovely Dress

Another wonderful purchase from Daughters of India! In this order, I bought this and another maxi dress, having only previously owned mini dresses. I love the length, the flow, lightness, rich pigmented color, & pattern. I ordered the SX because my other DOI dresses were very oversized (which I like), but wanted to size down for the maxi since there is more fabric with the longer length. The only issue I am having is that the sleeves are a bit snug, which is quite shocking for a DOI dress. For this reason alone, I gave the dress a 4 instead of a 5 star.

Beautiful Dress

I love this dress. The fabric is incredible - lightweight, soft, flowy, the print is beautiful and the color is vibrant. My only concern was that the top half of the dress is ill proportioned to the bottom. A lot of flowing fabric by the skirt, but tight fitted on the top. I would love to hypothetically, size up for the top and size down for the bottom.
